Texas Trip

This post is very long, but full of fun pictures! But, a couple weeks ago, we had the chance to go down to Texas and visit my sister Kacie, and to meet her new baby Boston. Zack is slowly getting to make the rounds of meeting his cousins, plus I really missed my sister! We had a great time down there and loved the sites that Kacie and Nathan took us to see. I have to say though, I feel bad. Clayton was the camera man pretty much the whole trip! (Thanks hun!) ;) But, that also meant that he wasn't in many of the pictures. I wish we would have gotten one of us all together! But I appreciate him having the camera ready to take all the fun pictures he did. We took a lot of pictures, so I hope you enjoy them all here! We had a blast there, and want to thank Kacie and Nathan for letting us come and stay with them!

Here is Zack with his cousins. I have to apologize for Zack's sadness. He got sick shortly before we went, so that mixed with climate changes and time zones... He wasn't his usual chipper self for many parts of the trip. Plus, he was VERY MUCH ready for a nap here. I believe he fell asleep 5 minutes after this picture was taken!

But see, he had happy moments! :)

Here he is even playing with Boston! And, I happen to catch one of those priceless moments where the baby pulls the most random face! hahaha

But here he is playing on his tummy. Still cute, and getting very good at being on his tummy! (More pictures to come on that subject!) :) Now, let's meet the cousins...

Here is Brystal. We celebrated her 2nd birthday while we were there. She's so adorable! She'd come and carry on full conversations with me. I wish I were a better aunt, but half the time I had no idea what she was saying! But I just smiled and said, "Ok!" To everything she said!

Here is Baby Boston (with my sister Kacie). He's only a couple months old, and we had the opportunity to see him blessed while we were down there. I was a bit ill, along with Zack, so I didn't hold him much. But boy, he was cute to look at!

Here is me! This picture is to show some of you out there who haven't seen me for a while, but I died my hair about a month ago. NO, it's not black! (a mistake many of my students have made... I'm not gothic!) It's a very dark, chocolate brown, with auburn-red tints in it. I like it! I'll have to get better pictures of it up later.

We went to Rudy's one of the first nights we were there... AMAZING BBQ!

Then we went to this really neat fountain show. The big one shot spouts of water to music, like they do at the Belajio in Vegas (to our Vegas friends, sorry if I spelled it wrong!)

And they had small ones for kids to play in.

Brystal contemplating whether to play in the fountain or not... hmmm....

And cute little Boston decided to sleep instead...

I took Zack to look at the fountain up close.

I took Zack a little TOO close, I guess! I just wanted to get a little bit of the mist from the big fountain...

But we came out a little more wet than I anticipated. But Zack had fun! :)

We are considering getting Zack an ExerSaucer for Christmas (SHHH! Don't tell!) So we let him play with Brystal's "Jumparoo" to see if he would even like the idea...

Guess he likes it! :)

Zack's never really been swimming before, so we set up the kiddy pool and let him try it out...
The water was a bit cold, so I don't know how well he liked that...

Brystal got in to swim with Zack... But eventually she got too cold as well!

They took us to this big mall in down-town Houston... Utah malls stink! This one was HUGE, and had an ice skating rink in it! HOW CRAZY IS THAT!?
So, if you look carefully, you can see the mall cop on his little Segway. Clayton and I thought it was so funny that mall cops riding on Segways actually existed, and that Paul Blart isn't the only one! So Clayton took a picture. Please take note that the cop is facing our direction... Yes, he was on his way to come and inform Clayton that he is not allowed to take pictures in the mall! BUSTED BY PAUL BLART! One of the highlights of the trip, I thought! :)

After the mall, we went and saw this wall that had water coming straight down from it. The night vision one is better... It covers all the mist that the wall was creating. But it was nice to have a shot of my dad! :) I wish we were able to get a good picture of it, but this wall was SO NEAT! I loved it!

After Boston's blessing on Sunday, we went and drove by the Houston temple. The gates were closed, so we couldn't go in and walk around. But Clayton got this really good shot from the moving car! My little photographer! :) I got to do a session there when I was there 2 summers ago, and it is such a beautiful temple. I'm glad we got to drive by it again!

Never a dull moment with Kacie around! She makes me laugh! It took us quite a while to get a serious picture of us two together! :)

This was the closest we got... But even then you can tell that we were just cracking up in this picture! I love being with my sister. She's one of my best friends and I am so happy we got to go down to visit. I can't wait until she comes up for Christmas to see us! Thanks Kacie for letting us come down and play! We loved being there!

Kristie, these pictures are awsome except for that white trash picture of brystal laying next to Zack and Boston in her diaper. She looks ghetto. If you have any other pictures you think we would like, send them cause I didn't get any pictures from the water wall or the fountains or anything. Thanks for coming to visit and having fun and for getting us sick.
